Soil Expert
Healthy soil is the foundation of every successful planting. But how can you determine whether the soil is suitable? What adjustments are needed to create optimal growing conditions? And how do you prevent problems such as compaction, poor drainage, or nutrient deficiencies?
The Soil Expert course provides in-depth insight into soil processes and teaches you how to conduct soil analyses and translate them into practical, site-specific recommendations. This is not a theoretical classroom lesson – it’s a hands-on course where you’ll work with real soil samples and learn how to improve soil structure and quality in a lasting way.
Do you want to make better-informed decisions and tackle soil challenges with practical, experience-based knowledge? Then this is the course for you.

Apply your knowledge directly in the field
This course is held at our nursery in Sint-Oedenrode. This is not a standard classroom, but a practical location right among the trees – where you can directly observe and experience the impact of soil quality on plant growth.
The theoretical sessions take place in De Groene Ruimte, a modern training room on our site. From there, we regularly head into the field to put the newly acquired knowledge into practice.

This course is fully practice-oriented. The final programme will be tailored to the number of participants, but you can expect an intensive and valuable day of learning. Theory and practice alternate throughout the day, allowing you to apply new knowledge directly in the field.
You’ll work hands-on with soil samples, analysis methods, and improvement strategies – all under the guidance of experienced specialists who work daily with trees, soil, and planting sites.
The course runs for a full day and includes a generous lunch. During lunch, there’s time to exchange experiences and ask the instructor questions.
